The Horn of Africa Press Institute was established as a shareholding company as per the Commercial Code of Ethiopia, and issued a Commercial License by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. The institute is headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

We implement a strict governance model designed to preserve absolute editorial and operational neutrality. The institute is governed and directed by a Board of Directors, elected every two years by the shareholders. The Board is responsible for strategic oversight, policy direction, fiscal compliance, and absolute institutional accountability.
